Opening Doors Through On-the-Job Training (OJT)
Wakulla High School is connecting students with real-world work experiences through its On-the-Job Training (OJT) opportunities, and local businesses play a key role in making this possible. To support these partnerships, Wakulla High School has created a simple submission process that allows businesses to share job opportunities directly with students.
The Wakulla High School Student Job Opportunity Submission form allows local employers to submit available positions for student consideration. All submissions are reviewed before being shared, and complete information is required in order for opportunities to be posted. This ensures students are presented with meaningful, appropriate, and well-defined job experiences.
What is OJT and CTE?
On-the-Job Training (OJT) is part of Wakulla High School’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. These programs are designed to prepare students for life beyond the classroom by combining academic instruction with hands-on learning. Through OJT, students gain practical work experience in local businesses while developing employability skills such as communication, responsibility, time management, and problem-solving.
Career and Technical Education (CTE) focuses on helping students explore career paths, earn industry-relevant skills, and better understand the expectations of today’s workforce. By partnering with local employers, Wakulla County businesses help shape the next generation of workers while strengthening our local economy.
Businesses interested in participating are encouraged to complete the submission form in full. Together, our schools and business community are creating pathways that benefit students, employers, and Wakulla County as a whole.
