SUMMARY:4-H Bark-Tastic Halloween Costume Contest
DESCRIPTION:Fun for people and pups! Halloween costume contest event for dogs! How it works: 1- Dream up a costume for your dog! 2 - Want to get in on the costume fun? You can dress in a matching or coordinated theme contest. 3 - Check in with 4-H at the Wakulla Extension Arena between 2 and 2:30 PM. The $5 registration fee (payable by cash or check on site) for contest entries helps cover recognition items & contest costs. A contest entry number will be provided & must be attached to clothes/costume of the human handler. 4 - Invite friends to watch - admission to watch the contest is free! 5 - Starting at 2:30 PM\, you and your pet will line up for the Bark-tastic Pet Parade around the arena. We'll have music playing\, be sure to wave at your fans! 6 - Judges will be deciding on winners in the following categories: (1) Most creative\, (2) Best pet/owner duo\, (3) Cutest costume 7 - Take photos at our photo station & shop the bake sale while the judges make their final decisions. 8 -Winners will be announced at 3:30 PM! Rules: Only dogs allowed in this contest with a human handler. Please do not bring other animals. Dogs must be at least 6 months old. Costumes must be safe & comfortable for pets. Dogs must wear I.D. tags at all times. Dogs must be on a leash (max 6 ft. lock retractable leashes at 6 ft.) Dogs must be under your control at all times. Owners/Handlers are responsible for the actions of their pet. Dogs must be clean and in good health. They must be up-to-date on all shots\, including rabies vaccinations. No dogs in heat. Event officials reserve the right to refuse entry or excuse aggressive dogs from the event area. Dogs must be sociable with other pets\, adults\, and children. Dogs must be well adjusted to crowds & noisy environments. Be prepared to clean up after your pet. Most Important Rule HAVE FUN!
