SUMMARY:Annual 4-H haybale decorating contest
DESCRIPTION:The annual 4-H haybale decorating contest is back for 2026! Join in the community spirit and enter your best haybale design! Entries may use round or square hay bales. A minimum of one hay bale is required. Participants must procure their own bales. The design must include a 4-H Clover or say "Wakulla 4-H" somewhere in the design. Designs must be family-friendly. 2026 Theme is "Celebrating America 250\, Stories of Wakulla!". Inappropriate designs will be disqualified at organizer's discretion. $20 entry fee is non-refundable. Bales may be painted\, props may be used. Round bales or square bales may be used for one entry as needed. The community will be invited to vote on your designs via Facebook likes on the Wakulla 4-H Facebook page for the Crowd Choice Award(s). A panel of volunteer 4-H judges will be reviewing the entries to award 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place. Entries will be judged on creativity\, visual appeal\, theme interpretation\, and overall style. Note: Dates subject to change during hurricane season. New dates will be announced if storms disrupt the contest.
